Biography

Born in Manila in 1979, Monica Delgado is a New York-based contemporary painter and sculptor. She began her career as a traditional painter working with photographic references, but soon shifted her trajectory to explore post-canvas, three-dimensional forms. Over a career spanning more than two decades, she has broken past regional boundaries, establishing a vibrant artistic presence across Asia, Europe, and North America.

Education & Academic Distinctions:

2003: Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Painting – University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman (Graduated Cum Laude)

Institutional Residencies:

Completed two highly competitive artist residencies at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City.

Global Exhibition Footprint:
Delgado has displayed her sculptural paintings extensively in solo and group exhibitions across major international art hubs, including:

United States: New York City, New Jersey, San Francisco, and Houston.

Southeast Asia: Manila, Philippines and Singapore.

Europe & Middle East: Istanbul, Turkey.
