Mervy C. Pueblo has spent over two decades building an influential, multi-hyphenate career that seamlessly balances a radical studio practice with high-level academic administration. She received her formative training in visual communication in Manila before securing a prestigious international scholarship that completely expanded her three-dimensional and civic art methodologies in the United States.
Pueblo has represented the Philippines across landmark sculpture symposia, residencies, and bienniales spanning Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Russia, France, and Vietnam. Beyond her rigorous gallery output, she is an indispensable educational leader, currently serving as the Dean of the School of Fine Arts and Design at the Philippine Women's University (PWU). Her academic stewardship centers heavily on deploying art therapy for convicted youth offenders and institutionalizing experimental public art curriculum frameworks.
