Nice Buenaventura is a highly decorated contemporary Filipino artist and educator. She holds dual postgraduate degrees in Media and Arts Technology from Queen Mary, University of London, and the Ateneo de Manila University. In 2021, she achieved a rare and prestigious dual milestone in the Philippine art scene, receiving both the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Thirteen Artists Award and the Ateneo Art Awards’ Fernando Zóbel Prize for Visual Art.
Represented by Artinformal since 2018, Buenaventura has a prolific global footprint, having exhibited and spoken at symposia across Southeast Asia, East Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America. She has also served as a faculty member in the Department of Fine Arts at the Ateneo de Manila University.
