Biography

Born: in Manila Philippines

Has exhibited professionally since 1967 to the present (paintings, prints, sculptures, photographs, installations) at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Museum of Philippine Art, Philippine International Convention Center, Metropolitan Museum, Alliance Francaise de Manille, National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and private galleries.
Has won awards for painting, printmaking, and sculpture.
Aside from solo, joint and group shows, has shown exhibitions of Philippine art in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, U. S. A., Germany, Chile, Canada, Australia, and Greece (on the occasion of Philippine Independence Day 1995). Has had 2-person exhibits in Italy (1997) and Laos (on the occasion of the Centennial of Philippine Independence (1998).
Painting chosen for inclusion in Philippine participation at the 7th International Biennial of Art in Valparaiso, Chile, 1985.
Works included in numerous institutional collections, among them: Cultural Center of the Philippines, Museum of Philippine Art, Philippine International Convention Center, San Miguel Corporation, Shell House, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Bank of Nova Scotia, Phinma Group of Companies, First Philippine Holdings Corporation., Trans-Asia Oil and Mineral Development Corporation, United Pulp and Paper Company, Toyota Motor Philippines, and Far East Bank and Trust Co.
Works included in collections of Philippine House, Saudi Arabia; Maksoud Plaza Hotel, Saó Paolo, Brazil; private collections in Hong Kong, USA, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Laos, the Netherlands and Spain.

Has acted since childhood on radio, TV and stage; has appeared with the Barangay Theatre Guild, Repertory Philippines, Ateneo de Manila Playhouse, Family Theater. Has also done production work, stage management, costume design. Member, Barangay Theatre Guild.
Has had short stories, columns and articles published in local periodicals.
Has exhibited photographs at the Main and Small Galleries, Cultural Center of the Philippines and Finale Art File, Makati.
